Do you want to have a memorable equestrian experience in Australia? 

We have been hosting travellers from all over the world who are horse enthusiasts for the past 20 years and provided an opportunity for them to come and stay with us and experience equestrian life here in Australia on a performance horse property. 

 

We have met many wonderful young people who have been able to build on their knowledge and experience with horses and see a part of Australia at the same time.

 

We are an English speaking  family – Chris and Deb with a daughter Alex (25yo) living close by – we are the owners and managers of this performance horse and agistment property here in Victoria, on the Mornington Peninsula. We primarily specialise in dressage and we are always looking for horse enthusiasts to come and stay with us and assist us as stablehands / grooms/ riders.

 

We are based in a lovely location in the Victorian countryside but are also in close proximity to the capital city of Victoria, Melbourne, which is 1 hour away by train, so you can enjoy exploring Victoria. We are located close to beaches and wineries and there are numerous local attractions to explore such as the Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island where you can see the famous penguins, and the world’s most livable city Melbourne all within close proximity.

 

We enjoy hosting motivated, mature and proactive non smokers who have extensive experience with horses to assist us with the daily activities on the property which include feeding, rugging, doing ground work  and riding horses as well as undertaking general property maintenance such as gardening and mowing.

We provide a relaxed supportive family environment with the opportunity to take horses to clinics and competitions.

 

We have many excellent references and reviews from past travellers who have stayed with us and we are happy to share these with you. We generally have 2 or 3 girls helping us on the property and some have stayed with us for long periods of time (6 months to 2 years). We normally only take on backpackers who will stay with us for a minimum of 2 months.

 

We provide fully self contained accommodation so you have your own space, ability to cook (all food is provided) and socialise with others. We also have a swimming pool and tennis court on the property as well as all equestrian facilities. 

 

There is WIFI available and also the potential use of a car so that you can get around locally and do some sightseeing.
